Ershov Institute of Informatics Systems of the SB RAS undertake energetic activities for the propagation of their approach to the virtual processing of a significant corpus of the documents and the creation of an electronic archive of Academician A.P.Ershov on the web of Internet.
	STONE SCULPTURES: REVIVAL OF ANCIENT TRADITION OR FALSIFICATION? There are more than 4000 monuments of the statue art kept till now on the Asian open spaces of steppes and in the mountain valleys erected at different times: from the early Bronze Age up to now.
	STATISTICS OF SPACE DOWNPOURS In 1966, construction of unique installation has been started in Yakutia for the registration of the space beams of ultrahigh energies using the method of wide atmospheric downpours (WAD). It operates within the framework of full program since 1973, and continuous registration of the WAD is conducted there up to now.
	TRANSGENOSIC PLANTS AS FUNDAMENTAL MODELS Fundamental biology was enriched for last years with a set of novel progressive technologies. There is a real biotechnological, genetic-engineering revolution occurring, which is based on the methods of transgenosis, in other words the transfer of alien genes to a genome of plants or animals.
	GENERAL INTEREST: STRESS PROTEINS Doctor Sc. (Biology), Professor Victor Voinikov is Director of the Siberian Institute of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry of the SB RAS. He is prominent scientist and the most part of his life is devoted to the studies on the stress proteins.
	MUSEUM OF SOILS OF THE SIBERIAN REGION Such a museum started to work in Novosibirsk, at the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the SB RAS.
	REVIVAL OF THE UMREVA BURG In 1703, the first administrative and defensive item of the Russian State such as Umreva Burg has appeared at the territory of the present Novosibirsk Region. This year the southwest tower of the burg has been restored. On August, 24 it will become a center of regional holiday.
	COUNCIL FOR THE SUPPORT OF TALENTED YOUTH IN THE FIELD OF PROGRAMMING The NSU Rector, Corresponding Member of the RAS N.Dikanski has ratified Statute and Structure of the Council for the support of talented youth in the field of information technologies. Activities of the Council will be directed on the development of the knowledge and skills of young specialists, students and schoolchildren in the key lines of vocational training in the field of information technologies and programming.
	SUMMER SCHOOL IN THE ACADEMGORODOK: A CENTRE OF ATTRACTION TO SCIENCE August, 5 an opening of the Forty second Summer Physical, Mathematical and Chemical School has taken place.
	"LARGE RUSSIAN ENCYCLOPEDIA" IS PREPARED FOR PUBLICATION On July, 29 the progress of work at the "Large Russian Encyclopedia" has been considered at the collegium of the Ministry of Press of Russia.
	SUPREME AUTHORITY AND ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY IN SIBERIA OF 18TH CENTURY The works of Novosibirsk historian Michail Akishin, among which there are a monograph and a number of publications of the collections of the documents issued individually and in co-authorship, are well-known to the experts in the field of Siberian history of 17th – 18th centuries.
	PROBLEMS OF SOCIAL AND LEGAL MANAGEMENT IN A NOVEL BOOK BY SIBERIAN PHILOSOPHERS A monograph "Target component and axiological bases of legal technology: social and philosophical aspect" by Doctor Sc. (Philosophy) A.Chernenko and Candidate Sc. (Philosophy) V.Bobrov was published at the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the UIHPP of the SB RAS.
