	THE ACADEMICIAN V.A. KOPTIUG PRIZE FOR HUMANITARIANS OF SIBERIA AND BYELORUSSIA The prize named after outstanding scientist Academician Valentin Afanasievich Koptiug, annually awarded by the National Academy of Sciences of Byelorussia and the Siberian Branch of the RAS for achievement of the best results in joint scientific researches, in 2003 for the first time will be handed to humanitarians. Collective work of the Siberian and Byelorussian historians "Sketches on the history of Byelorussians in Siberia in 19th – 20th centuries" is awarded with the honorary international reward.
	OUTLET IS IN THE SYSTEM INTEGRATION On November, 20 an out session of Presidium of the SB RAS has been held in Tomsk. One of the reports in the agenda of it, namely the one on the project of the Academic Research University, has been given by Rector of the Tomsk State University, member of the Presidium of the Tomsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS Georgi Mayer.
	WIDE RANGE OF PROBLEMS On November, 11 Victor Tolokonski has met with the Academgorodok community in the Small Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS.
	COUNCIL ON BAIKAL IS BEING CREATED A package of documents on the organization of the Council on Baikal is signed by the heads of Republic Buryatiya, the Ust-Ordynsk Buryat Autonomous District and the Chita Region.

	SHE WAS THE LIFE AND SOUL OF THE COLLECTIVE November, 14, 2003 Lubov Alekseevna Nakoriakova (Bakaldina), veteran of the Siberian Branch of the RAS, has died on the 68th year of her life.
