	AT THE PRESIDIUM OF THE SB RAS
	ROUTES OF INTEGRATION At the joint session of the Presidiums of the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS and the East-Siberian Center of the RAMS as well as the Council of Rectors of the Irkutsk higher education institutions, held on December, 3, integration tasks of scientific and educational institutions of the Irkutsk Region within the framework of the program of formation of the Siberian scientific and industrial complex were discussed.
	AT THE GENERAL MEETING OF THE KEMEROVO SCIENTIFIC CENTER General Meeting has been held at the Kemerovo Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	LARGE-SCALE GATHERING OF AGRARIAN SCIENTISTS November, 16 to 17, session of the Siberian branch of the Russian academy of the agricultural sciences has taken place devoted to the basic results and problems of research and research-and-production work of the scientific divisions for the 35 years of activities of the Siberian Branch (since the moment it was founded in 1969).
	ACADEMIC MEDICINE SUMMING UP November, 23 the session of General Meeting of the Siberian Branch of the RAMS, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has been held.
	THE RFBR SUPPORT: INVESTMENTS INTO THE SCIENCE AND REGION Within the framework of regional competition "RFBR-Baikal" for 2005-2007 60 research projects devoted to the problems of Baikal Lake and the Baikal region were supported.
	CREATION OF COLD-RESISTANT MATERIALS AND STRUCTURES: THE CONDITION OF THE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT IN CRYOZONE The totals of the 2nd Eurasian Symposium on the problems of durability of the materials and machines for cold climate regions dedicated to memory of Academician Vladimir Petrovich Larionov.
	FROM ANCIENT OCEAN TO THE CONTINENTS There was a talk about the problems of the Earth’s lithosphere evolution, in particular, the Central-Asian mobile zone, about ancient Paleoasian Ocean, mechanisms of its uncovering and evolution at the All-Russian Meeting in the Institute of Earth's Crust of the SB RAS.
	YOUTH CONFERENCE ON INFORMATION TECHNOLOGIES From November 1 to November 3 the 5th All-Russian Conference of Young Scientists on mathematical modeling and information technologies has been held at the Institute of Institute of Computational Technologies. More than 50 young researchers of 9 cities of Russia took part in its work.
	THROUGH ACADEMIC MOBILITY TOWARDS SCIENTIFIC CAREER November, 23 in the House of Scientists of the SB RAS a seminar has been held "Support of the development of scientific career and Academic mobility between Russian Federation and European Union".
	ENERGY-SAVING, A KEY TO THE RATES OF THE NATIONAL ECONOMY GROWTH The Russian economy development significantly depends on power consumption of gross domestic product (GDP) that is several times more than similar parameter in the developed countries. In the GDP power consumption a special role is played by energy-saving. The role and problems of the energy-saving is a topic of the article by Corresponding of RAS Sergei Alekseenko.
	WHAT DOES AWAIT THE RUSSIAN EDUCATION? (2) The previous review on this topic (SiS № 46) concerned mainly the basic points of the "Concept of participation of the Russian Federation in the management of the property complexes of the state organizations realizing their activities in the field of education" (in popular speech the Concept on education) and of the discussion. Dispute is going on, there are projects of new documents. The present review is devoted to this.
	WHAT DOES AWAIT THE RUSSIAN SCIENCE? (3) Hardly more than a month has passed after the two previous reviews on this topic (SiS № 42 and 43). What has changed for this time? The main event was a session of the Council for science, technologies and education under the chairmanship of the Russian President, held on October, 26.
	"YOUR A. YANSIN", A NEW BOOK The book of memoirs about the outstanding scientist of 20th century, perhaps, couldn’t be named in more perfect manner: "Your A.Yanshin".
	SMALL POLYTECHNICAL ACADEMY At the end of November at the Assembly hall of the Young Engineers’ Club of the SB RAS the adult 40th anniversary of the Club was celebrated.
	UNDER SAIL OF "NADEZHDA" The expedition titled "Shelf 2004" was held within the framework of the integration project of the Siberian and Far East Branches of the RAS carried out on the route Vladivostok-Kamchatka on board the sailing ship "Nadezhda".
	CERTIFICATE THROUGH THE INTERNET The Faculty of Information Technologies of the Novosibirsk State University (FIT NSU) and the Internet University of Information Technologies (IntUIT) have declared strategic partnership in the field of IT-disciplines teaching.
	EXPERIENCE AND PROSPECTS OF REMOTE EDUCATION IN SIBERIA International conference "Experience and prospects of the development of remote education" has been held at the Siberian Academy of Public Service. Experts have gathered to discuss uniqueness and the importance of such form of training not only from Siberia and Moscow, but also from the European Community.
	INTEGRATION STRUCTURES ARE FORMED The potential of scientists of the Siberian Branch is actively used in Novosibirsk Higher education institutions. So, for example, cooperation successfully develops between the NSC scientists and the Siberian State Geodesic Academy.
	TOMSK DWELLERS, THE PARTNERS OF "EURASIA" The Tomsk Region is recognized as one of the winners of the program "Education" of the Eurasia Foundation and it will be included in the megaproject “The Youth and Education” as a pilot platform.
