The British Council, the InformNauka Agency and the Association of Scientific Journalists of Russia have held the Third All-Russian Competition "Science for society" for the best popular scientific paper of 2004. The Third degree diploma, monetary prize, annual subscription for the journals "Nature", "The world of science" and "Chemistry and Life " were handed to Natalia Nikolaevna Kudriavtseva, Doctor Sc. (Biology), researcher of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the SB RAS, for the paper "Anxiety as a social illness".
