	SPECIAL ECONOMIC AREA IN TOMSK The Tomsk area has left one of winners in competition on the right of creation of special economic zones.
	THE EXTENDED session OF THE SB RAS PRESIDIUM December, 14-15, 2005 an extended session of the Presidium of the SB RAS will be held in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok concerning the results of interdisciplinary integration projects of the SB RAS.
	VISIT OF CHINESE CONSUL Consul on Science and Engineering of the Khabarovsk Consulate of China has visited the Irkutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS with a business call.
	BUSINESS VISIT TO THE ISP On the 18th of November Academician N.Dobretsov has visited the Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the SB RAS.
	THE VICTORY OF NOVOSIBIRSK MATHEMATICIANS Corporation Intel and the Moscow Technical Physics Institute have declared the results of the competition of the research projects in the field of automation of the designing of integrated circuits, which the scientists of Russia, Ukraine and the countries of East Europe participated in.
	THE MALTSEV READINGS 2005 "The Maltsev readings" Conference that became already traditional has been held at the S.L.Sobolev Institute of Mathematics of the SB RAS under support of the Russian Basic Research Foundation.
	ETHNOSOCIAL PROCESSES IN SIBERIA: THE DISTURBING FUTURE Already during 10 years the Institute of Philosophy and Law of the SB RAS holds the International workshop "Ethno-social processes in Siberia" that as a matter of fact realizes the function of coordination and activation of ethno-social research in the region.
	HISTORY OF SCIENCE AND EDUCATION IN SIBERIA Under such the title an All-Russian scientific conference has been held November, 15-16, 2005 in Krasnoyarsk.
	SIBERIAN ORNITHOLOGICAL CONFERENCE The Siberian Ornithological Conference has taken place at the Altai State University (Barnaul).
	THE TUNGUS METEORITE: THE SECRET IS OPENED, RIDDLES REMAIN July, 30, 1908 the inhabitants of Siberia observed a brightly luminous body to pass by the sky with the speed of 10-30 km/sec, in 10-15 seconds having disappeared beyond the skyline. Then a deafening explosion has resounded at the height about 10 km. For almost hundred years past more than 50 expeditions, mainly amateur ones were dispatched to the area of the accident; the richest scientific material has been collected, many dozens of special and popular books and articles were written. An attempt to generalize all that was made for the last years has been undertaken not so long ago at the separate section of All- Russian conference "Asteroid and comet danger 2005" held in Saint Petersburg.
	THE FIRST SCHOOL ON INNOVATIONS FOR YOUNG SCIENTISTS At the end of September the 1st All-Russian conference school "Young scientists for new Russia. Basic research in the field of chemistry and innovation activity" has been held in Ivanovo. Siberia represented young scientists from Academic institutes of Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude.
	WATER - OIL - GAS - ROCK OR HOW NOVEL FIELDS OF SCIENCE ARE FOUNDED Interdisciplinary researches, the programs of integration projects of the Siberian Branch have literally “displayed onto the open” many research works published in due time, but underestimated by scientific community.

	THE TELETSKI PERMANENT ESTABLISHMENT: UNIQUE NATURAL LABORATORY One of the oldest in the Siberian Branch of the RAS permanent biological establishments is located on the lakeside of Teletskoe Lake in Mountain Altai. This unique reservoir, "the younger brother of Baikal Lake", amazes with its beauty and originality.
	SIBERIAN SCIENCE: LOOKING THROUGH YEARS The 50th anniversary from the date of formation of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences is approaching. This date is undoubtedly significant. Our newspaper begins a series of publications devoted to the forthcoming anniversary.
	GOOD MEMORY November, 22 memorial plate and a lecture hall named after Academician Sergei Petrovich Bugaev (1936-2002) were solemnly opened at the Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics, in one of its educational buildings on Tom riverside.
	URAL-SIBERIAN CONFERENCE COMPETITION "MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGIES IN THE THEORY AND PRACTICE OF PROGRAMMING" February, 23, 2006 the Novosibirsk State University under support of the Representations of the Microsoft and Intel companies in Russia holds a conference competition "Microsoft technologies in computer science and programming".
	INP: SUCCESSFUL SOCIAL PARTNERSHIP November, 25, 2005 a reporting trade-union conference has taken place at the Institute of Nuclear Physics (INP). Reporting conference is a significant event in the life of trade-union organization.
