	THE SB RAS SCIENTIFIC EVENTS IN JUNE
	REAL CHANGES, FUTURE CHANGES From May, 24 to May, 25 the General Annual Meeting of the RAS has taken place in Moscow, in the Large Hall of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
	HEROES OF THE ACADEMIC ELECTIONS Thirteen scientists of the Siberian Branch have replenished the ranks of the Russian Academicians and Corresponding Members at the General Meeting of the RAS held in Moscow from May, 24 to May, 25.
	OUR CANDIDATES HAVE COME BACK VICTORIOUS From the Academic "fights" the employees of the Siberian Branch of the RAS have returned victorious: six "SB-RASians" became Academicians, seven – Corresponding Members. Right after the announcement of the election results we had a talk with some of the winners.
	GENERAL MEETING OF THE RAS IN THE MIRROR OF THE RUSSIAN PRESS The May Annual General Meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences held the last week has summed up the work for 2005 and has elected new Academicians and Corresponding Members. The work of the Meeting, as well as all that has been connected with the elections of new members of the Academy, have received a great response in the Russian press.
	PATRIARCH OF THE MINING TRADE Valeri Fedorovich Gorbunov, Doctor Sc. (Engineering), Professor is 80 years old.

	ANNIVERSARY OF NATALIA ALEKSEEVNA PRITVITS Congratulation of the Presidium of the SB RAS.
	FIDELITY IN THE MAJOR Time has come to elucidate firstprimary sources: soon, soon the Academgorodok, the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences 50 years will be 50. Golden anniversary of the Golden Valley, as the first sellers would say. Natalia Pritvits in a playful-serious poem "Doliniada" has glorified this wonderful place and its inhabitants.

	THE AMBASSADOR THE USA IN THE ACADEMGORODOK May, 18, 2006 the Novosibirsk Academgorodok was visited by the Ambassador of the USA mister William G. Burns.
	«HIGH TECHNOLOGIES OF 21st CENTURY» IN MOSCOW At the end of April the next annual International forum «High technologies of 21st century» has been held at the Exhibition complex of Joint-Stock Company "Expocenter" in Krasnaya Presnia.
	VISITED CHINA … The exhibition of the works by the Honored Artist of Russia, Novosiberian Anatoli Nikolaevich Nikolski titled so has been held at the House of scientists of the SB RAS.
