	WISDOM AND RENEWAL Academician Nakoriakov in his recent articles specifies many painful points of the present condition of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His analysis in this part is correct. The offers concerning the radical reorganization of electoral system are more controversial and thus should be commented.

	AMONG THE BEST PEOPLE OF RUSSIA Recently Chief Researcher of the Institute of the Earth's Crust of the SB RAS, Doctor Sc. (Geology and Mineralogy) Professor Boris Pisarski has received a medal and the notice that he is entered in the State Encyclopedia «The best people of Russia» for 2005.
	TECHNOPARK: TO BUILD, BUT AT ANOTHER PLACE? For the last months the construction of the technopark has become a topic number one in mass media and among scientific community of the NSC. A round-table discussion held on the sixth of September at the conference hall of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics has been also devoted to this problem.
	SPECIAL PRIORITY FOR BAIKAL A conference «World natural heritage in Russia, 10 years of the Russian-German cooperation» has been held in Irkutsk.
	MITOCHONDRIAL GENES OF A PLANT AND OF… A MAN The title of the All-Russian conference «Structure and expression of the mitochondrial genome of plants» held at the Siberian Institute of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry of the SB RAS could hardly draw journalists’ attention. Meanwhile the case in point was about very interesting and new enough things concerning everybody’s life.
	TOWARDS THE ORIGINS OF THE HISTORY OF SIBERIA An integration with higher education institutions of Kuzbass still remains priority for the Kemerovo Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	THE SIBERIAN TAIGA IS OF MUTUAL CARE Krasnoyarsk was visited by delegation of the USA Wood Service. The initiators of the visit were Administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Agency for International Development of the USA. The American Governmental organization supports and finances various social and ecological programs in Russia for a number of years.
	OUR PHYS-MATH-SCHOOLCHILDREN ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD From August, 20 to August, 25 an International student's scientific forum was held in South Korea, in five-million Pusan. The gifted senior pupils from 40 specialized schools, colleges and lyceums of 12 countries have been invited to it. From Russia there were six muscovites of chemical lyceum and three graduates of the NSU Scientific education center.
