	PROCEEDING THE COOPERATION One of the sessions of the round table within the framework of the symposium «Science and Education in 21st Century» has been held in the Siberian Branch of the Russian Agricultural Academy. Its topic has been designated as «Modern technologies in agriculture».

	ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS IN YAKUTSK September, 26 the solemn events devoted to the 50th anniversary of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences have been held at the Yakutsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS.
	THE WHOLE RANGE OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH Within the year of the 50th anniversary of the SB RAS many scientific actions of the Siberian Branch are dated for this significant event. There was no exception for the organized by the Lavrentiev Institute of Hydrodynamics All-Russian conference «The Problems of continuum mechanics and explosion physics» held at the House of Scientists from September, 17 to September, 22. Moreover the Institute is the coeval of the Branch, and conference has been devoted to its 50th anniversary.

	TO SAVE THE FORESTS OF SIBERIA In the Altai Territory (Barnaul) last summer the 1st International Meeting on the preservation of forest genetic resources in Siberia has taken place.
	THE VISIT OF PEOPLE’S REPRESENTATIVES October, 9 the Novosibirsk Academgorodok was visited by the delegation of local Assemblies of national representatives of the Chinese People’s Republic aimed at the acquaintance with the activities of the SB RAS.
