	TO ASSESS THE PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT November, 15 General Meeting of the Novosibirsk Scientific Center, the largest advanced post of science in the Asian part of Russia, has taken place at the Large Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS.
	PRIORITY QUESTIONS The working meeting of the Novosibirsk Regional Governor with the representatives of hi-tech companies and associations of the Academgorodok where urgent questions of the development of innovation business were discussed within the framework of the project of Technopark has taken place in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok.
	THE SB RAS SCIENTIFIC AND SCIENCE-ORGANIZING EVENTS IN DECEMBER
	THE DEMIDOV PRIZE WINNERS - 2007 November, 15 at the Presidium of the RAS the Demidov Prize-winners of 2007 have been named.
	SOCIAL RECOGNITION Within the anniversary year of 2007 for the Siberian branch the Russian Foundation "Social recognition" and Inter-regional Association “Siberian Agreement” have decided to award a number of the employees of the SB RAS with medals and diplomas.
	THE AWARDS OF THE LAVRENTIEV FUNDATION FOR THE YOUNG The prize founded by the M.A.Lavrentiev Foundation is one of the greatest Russian prizes in the field of science and a unique one having «the Siberian registration».
	THE MICHAIL’S DAY AS THE DAY OF UNITY November, 19 at the Large Hall of the House of Scientists the public of the Academgorodok celebrated the Michail’s Day, the birthday of Michael Vasilievich Lomonosov and Michail Alekseevich Lavrentiev.

	THE FORMULA OF SUCCESS November, 22 Director of the Institute of Chemical biology and Fundamental Medicine of the SB RAS to Academician Valentin Vlasov is sixty. On the eve of the significant date the "SiS" correspondent has met with the anniversary celebrator in order to talk with him about discoveries and achievements, friends and colleagues, teachers and followers and, certainly, about how «the big science» is done.

	GEOGRAPHICAL RESEARCH IN SIBERIA November, 29 marks the 50th anniversary of the Sochava Institute of Geography of the SB RAS.
	THE CHEMISTRY OF BURNING Physical and chemical processes are laying in the basis of burning. However, despite of a big progress in understanding of the process as a whole, we still poorly know about the mechanism of burning at a molecular level which is necessary for the creation of the theory having a predictive strength. This direction is developed at the Laboratory of the Combustion Process Kinetics created in 1989 at the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of the SB RAS.
	THE PROJECT 28 Within the framework of the 9th All-Russian conference «Modern methods of mathematical modeling of natural and man-caused accidents» (Barnaul, September, 19, 2007) a working meeting of the executives of the Interdisciplinary Integration Project № 28 of the SB RAS «Modeling of man-caused impact and the development of the methods risk evaluation over the territories of Siberia and Far North» has been held.
	ECOLOGY IS OF MUTUAL CARE Twelfth International ecological student's conference «Ecology of Russia and adjacent territories» has been held at the Novosibirsk State University.
	SIENCE-TOWN OF MODERN TYPE The Governor of Novosibirsk Region has taken part in the session of the Supervisory Council of the Program of the Koltsovo development as an RF science- town where the basic lines of the development of the settlement were considered for 2008-2012.
	THE OPENER OF NATURAL TREASURES OF SIBERIA On the occasion of the 270th anniversary of Eric Gustavovich Laksman.
