	SIBERIANS, THE WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION OF LEADING SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS Federal Agency for Science and Innovations and the Council on the RF Presidential grants for the State support of young Russian scientists and of leading scientific schools of the Russian Federation are informing on the results of the competitions of 2008 for the State support of scientific research carried out by leading scientific schools of the Russian Federation.
	THE DEVELOPMENT OF STANDARD-LEGISLATIVE BASE AND THE PROBLEMS OF RESEARCH COORDINATION During the perfection of the State Duma structure, to create the Committee for science and high technologies was recognized to be expedient.
	THE RESOLUTION OF THE EXIT EXTENDED BUREAU OF THE COUNCIL FOR THE COORDINATION OF THE ACTIVITIES OF THE RAS REGIONAL BRANCHES AND REGIONAL SCIENTIFIC CENTERS On March, 27, 2008 an exit extended Bureau of the Council for the coordination of the activities of regional branches and regional scientific centers of the RAS took place in Syktyvkar.

The elated mood is sharply spoiled only when one begins to understand the structure of our economic success.
	GIS-TECHNOLOGIES SERVING GEOLOGY Present time, the use of geographical information systems (GIS) became an integral component of the information supply of scientific research.
	KRASNOYARSK: THE INTEGRATION OF SCHOOL EDUCATION AND SCIENCE The rectors of Krasnoyarsk higher education institutions are not satisfied in the quality of knowledge of school graduates. This "verdict" was read out at the recent session of the Council of higher school Rectors of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
	PHOTONICS-2008. THE WORLD OF LASERS AND OPTICS The opportunity to familiarize with a full range of production and services of a rapidly developing sector of high technologies was given by the 3rd International specialized exhibition of laser, optical and optoelectronic engineering «Photonics-2008. The world of lasers and optics» held from March, 11 to March, 13 in the Central exhibition center «Expocenter».
	DISCOVERIES AHEAD At the end of March the group of German companies «Zwick/Roell» and the «Netzsch Geraetebau GmbH» company, the well-known world manufacturers of scientific devices, have held in Krasnoyarsk a three-day workshop «Modern equipment for laboratory research. Theory and practice of use».
	THE ANNIVERSARY OF OUR SMALL HOMELAND On March, 26 a solemn assembly devoted to the 50th anniversary of the Soviet District took place in the Large Hall of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS.
	INFRASTRUCTURE: REAL STEPS One of the basic things and priority problems solved within the framework of the project of Technopark construction is cardinal reconstruction of the engineering infrastructure of the Academgorodok.
	HOW TO COME TO AN AGREEMENT? Last working day of March a meeting took place in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok: within an hour a group of demonstrators who demanded the canceling of the permit control and the privatization of habitation in the hostels of the Siberian Branch, picketed the building of SB RAS Presidium.

The repertoire of the actors is rich and manifold, including popular and bardic songs. They like sometimes «to play upon words», keeping familiar melodies, to rhyme under popular music their miner’s problems.
