	GOVERNING THE GOOD LUCK The well-known archeologist, whose name, perhaps, is known to all little boys and girls raving about antiquities (in Siberia, at least) Academician Vyacheslav Ivanovich Molodin celebrates his 60th anniversary.
	THE SCIENTIST-ROMANTICIST There is a number of trades dreamed in the childhood if not by everybody but by many people. Who did not want to become a traveller, cosmonaut or archeologist? Who did not have on the bookshelf the books from which pages a wind of travelling, romanticism and discoveries breathed? In this sketch we would like to tell about one of those happy people whose dream was put into practice.
	THE DIVINGS TO BE PROCEEDED! A remarkable event happened at the conference hall of the Baikal Museum of the IrSC of the SB RAS in the middle of September. The person created together with the team of adherents the whole epoch in domestic deep-water research has spoken for interested listeners.
	THE FATHER OF ALUMINOTYPING Each scientist as well as any creative person has a favourite child - the realized idea, in which with the greatest completeness were embodied his work, talent, inspiration. For Doctor Sc. (Chemistry) Valeri Innokentievich Eroshkin such the favourite child is aluminotyping, the original method created by him for applying the images onto the surface of a metal.
	COMPETITION-2009 OF JOINT RESEARCH PROJECTS OF THE SIBERIAN BRANCH OF THE RAS AND THE TAIWAN NATIONAL SCIENTIFIC COUNCIL Competition conditions and the order of applications submission.

	INTERNATIONAL WORKSOP "TAU-2008" At the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the SB RAS an International meeting on tau-lepton physics "Tau-2008" was held.
	"APSG-2008" September, 23 at the House of Scientists of the SB RAS the International conference "APSG-2008"-"Space geodynamics and the modeling of global processes" has been opened.
	INTERACTION OF SCIENTIFIC LINES From September, 21 to September, 26 at the Institute of High-Current Electronics of the SB RAS two large-scale scientific forums are held at once: the 15th International symposium on high-current electronics and the 9th International conference on materials modifying by charged particle beams and plasma streams.
	THE SCHOOL ON PARALLEL CALCULATIONS From August, 25 to September, 5 at the Institute of Computation Technologies of the SB RAS the Russian - German School on parallel calculations has been held.
	THE ORE-BEARING DISCUSSED AT BAIKAL September, 9 to 12 the youth school-seminar on ore-bearing of folding areas was held in Republic Buryatiya.
	WIDE PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT From September, 16 to September, 18 within the framework of the agreement for cooperation between the Siberian Branch of the RAS and Sinjang-Uigur Autonomous Region of Chinese People’s Republic the International exhibition-presentation "SUAR innovation technologies in 21st century" was held in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok.
	ANCIENT SOILS "REMEMBER"... At the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the SB RAS a pleasant event has happened. Finally, after the long break connected with the reauthorization of dissertation councils, the council has again begun to operate for the doctor's and candidate's theses defense within the framework of "soil science" and "agrochemistry" specialties.
	MATHEMATICAL MODELING: IT IS GLOBAL! The new scientific discipline, mathematical modeling of processes and phenomena, becomes the third way of human knowledge alongside with theoretical and experimental research. The most complicated problems seemed to be fantastic a decade ago become the order of the day.
	CURRENCY SPHERE: SOME PRESSING QUESTIONS Recently it is much spoken and written about the debasing of dollar coinage. General interest to the American currency is caused by its leading position in the world monetary system occupied due to carrying out the function of reserve currency.
	NEW MODEL OF INNOVATION BUSINESS December, 27, 2007 at the pre-New Year's session of the SB RAS Presidium at the repeated consideration of the project “Unit innovation funds SM.Holding – SB RAS” a decision was accepted to approve the concept of the project and to ratify the coordinated structure of the Advisory Council and the Regulations about it.
	VACANCIES
	GOING TO RUSSIA FOR EXPERIENCE The experts of the Acad. Meshalkin Novosibirsk Scientific Research Institute of Blood Circulation Pathology have developed a new technique for surgical treatment of ciliary arrhythmia (atrial fibrillation). The method is many times more effective, than the techniques used in other Russian and foreign cardiocenters.
	FROM COMMON ALPHABET TO JOINT PROJECTS Novosibirsk was briefly visited by the delegation of Republic Bulgaria.
