	CONGRATULATIONS ON THE DAY OF SCIENCE On the occasion of the Day of Russian Science many warm congratulations were received addressed to the Siberian Branch of the RAS and its Chairman Academician A.L.Aseev; there are high estimation of scientists’ work and importance of their work for the future of Russia, the wishes of new discoveries, creative enthusiasm, well-being and prosperity.
	ACADEMICIAN V.K.SHUMNY IS 75 Congratulation of the Presidium of the SB RAS.
	NOT REDUCING THE RATE... Today Academician V. K.Shumny, Adviser of the RAS, prominent expert in the field of genetics of plants, heterosis problems, genetic and chromosomal engineering is 75 years old.
	SIBERIAN HISTORIAN IVAN MOLETOTOV February, 7, 2009 Doctor Sc. (History), Professor I.A.Moletotov, veteran of the Siberian Branch, the organizer of higher post-higher education, is 80.
	KUZBASS: THE TESTING AREA OF INNOVATIONS February, 3 a joint session of the Presidium of the SB RAS and the board of Kemerovo Regional Administration took place in Kemerovo.
	CONVERSATION ON THE OCCASION OF THE DAY OF SCIENCE It is already a good tradition for the heads of the Siberian Branches of three Academies of Sciences to gather on the eve of Day of Science at the residence of the Plenipotentiary of the RF President in SFD to communicate with journalists and to tell what is made within a year by scientific collectives under their supervision.
	INNOVATION FORUM IN IRKUTSK Sixteenth time the innovation exhibition took place at the Irkutsk International exhibition complex "SibExpoCenter".
	ON THE OCCASION OF 60TH ANNIVERSARY OF ACADEMIC SCIENCE IN IRKUTSK February, 9 a large-scale press conference devoted to the Day of Science and 60th anniversary of the IrSC of the SB RAS took place at "Interfax-Siberia" press center.
	NANOTECHNOLOGIES TODAY February, 6 at the Small Hall of the House of Scientists within the framework of the Days of Science held in the Siberian Branch of the RAS, a lecture took place devoted to the applications of nanotechnologies.
	A TRIP OVER FAVOURITE PLACES Every year on the eve of the Day of Russian Science the Institutes of the Academgorodok open the doors for all comers: students, schoolchildren and other inquisitive citizens free within the working day.
	THE SOLD OUT NOTICE IN THE ZOOLOGICAL MUSEUM The organizers of the Open door at the Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals of the SB RAS have been pleasantly surprised by a lot of senior pupils of the city schools gathered at the conference hall on February, 6.
	THE DAY OF SCIENCE AT THE ITAM OF THE SB RAS Within the framework of the Day of science February, 6 the Christianovich Institute of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics was visited by more than 120 guests who familiarized with the unique complex of the wind tunnels, the automated laser technological systems and other technological developments of the Institute.
	THE DAY OF SCIENCE AT THE INSTITUTE OF COAL AND COAL CHEMISTRY OF THE SB RAS February, 5 a ceremonial meeting of the Academic council took place devoted to the Day of Science.
	LIFE IN ALL THE ASPECTS February, 8 within the lframework of the Days of Science, at the House of scientists of the SB RAS a view took place of the films by the "Asia-film" film studio well-known for many spectators of the Academgorodok due to the works of the "Science at all times" series.
	MAN-MADE CRISIS One client has not returned to a bank a small debt: it is an ordinary event. A plenty of clients has not paid off with many banks for large-scale credits in the leading economic power of the world: the world financial crisis has burst.
	ON THE CELEBRATION OF HISTORICAL EQUITY OR THE CRASH OF LIBERAL ECONOMY The history in due course places everything in the places, and each politician receives the deserved estimation for the actions or inactivity. The punishment is certainly inevitable, but unfortunately late.
	THE WORK ABOUT SIBERIAN KHANATES The tenth volume of the fundamental scientific series "Ethnographic and archeological complexes: the problems of culture and society" (it is published by the Omsk scientific Institutes since 1995) includes only one work - a monograph of the late nowadays Doctor Sc.(History) Victor Ivanovich Sobolev "The history of Siberian khanates (accordingto archeological materials", just published by the "Nauka" Novosibirsk publishing house.
	A NEW MEDICINE FROM "VECTOR" At the end of December the "Vector" has received a registration certificate for a domestic import-substituting preparation "NeuroStim", a medical product for the treatment of the diseases of blood.
	VACANCIES
	PUBLISHING STANDARDS IN SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATION BOOK PUBLISHING The training seminar on this topic will take place March, 3 at the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the SB RAS (the Branch).
	ANNOUNCEMENT The Novosibirsk Innovation-and-investment Corporation invites the authors of inventions and the owners of know-how in various branches of science and engineering for cooperation.
	PHOTO-EXHIBITION "THE FAUNA OF SIBERIA" At the showroom of the House of Scientists of the SB RAS where the art exhibition "Scientists drawing" has just ended, on February, 10 scientists were again welcomed, but now those who find time to engage not only in science, but also in photography.
