	THE RUSSIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION IN PARIS The current year - Year of Russia in France - has become an occasion to strengthen already developed Russian-French relations and to create a base for the new ones in already changed world. The Russian National Exhibition has become one of the key moments of the program of Year, which was carried out in France for the first time in the last half-century.

	PERSON IN THE CONTEXT OF EPOCH On April 24 was the 100th anniversary of birth of Victor Veniaminovich Manuilov, a person who has left a deep trace in the history of Novosibirsk. Chief engineer, Production manager of the Chkalovsky Plant during the Great Patriotic War, Director of the Novosibirsk Aviation Technical School, the first Director of Novosibirsk Polytechnical School, for a great many of the pupils he has forever remained the favorite Teacher, the ingenious teacher and wonderful Man.
	NOTES OF THE LITERARY CRITIC Chekhov died on July 2, 1904. Though it’s not a good round figure, there arises a special occasion to recollect it due to anniversary context of 2010 - the 150th anniversary of birth of the great writer.

	TWIN TOWN DISTRICTS MAKE FRIENDS Novosibirsk has several twin towns: Varna in Bulgaria, Minneapolis-Saint Paul in the USA, Sapporo in Japan, Minsk in Belarus. The separate districts of the cities are also cooperating. Friendship between the Sovietsky districts of Volgograd and Novosibirsk has been lasting about five years.
