	NEWSPAPER, SCIENCE, LIFE On July 4th 1961, the first number of “For Science in Siberia” Weekly has been issued.
	WE HAVE ALREADY PLAYED THE HALF GAME… On the eve of the "gold" anniversary of the “Science in Siberia” weekly, at the editor’s office there has been held a round table with participation of the Novosibirsk journalists writing about science. The basic themes - problems of scientific journalism, interrelations of science and mass media, “Science in Siberia” yesterday, today, tomorrow.
	WHEN WE WERE TWENTY
	IF A MIRACLE HAPPENED If a miracle happened, and it became possible to begin the journalistic life all over again, I would not wish the best fortune, than to begin it in our Academgorodok, in our newspaper!

	RUSSIA – BURYATIYA: 350 YEARS TOGETHER Celebratory events, devoted to the 350th anniversary of a voluntary entry of Buryatiya into the structure of the Russian state, have taken place on July 1-3 in the city of Ulan-Ude, the capital of Republic Buryatiya.
	RE-EVOLUATION OF HISTORICAL EXPERIENCE The International Scientific Conference “Historical experience of interaction of peoples and civilizations: to the 350th anniversary of an entry of Buryatiya into the structure of the Russian state” has been held in Ulan-Ude within the framework of celebrating the 350th anniversary of an entry of Buryatiya into the structure of the Russian state on June 28-30.
	EXIT SESSION OF SB RAMS PRESIDIUM The Exit Session of SB RAMS Presidium together with the Expanded Board of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Buryatiya, devoted to the 350th anniversary of voluntary entry of Buryatiya into the structure of Russia has taken place in Ulan-Ude on June 28.
	FROM A COHORT OF TRAILBLAZERS Veteran of the Golden Valley, Doctor of Sciences (Physics and Mathematics), Professor Leonid Alexandrovich Lukyanchikov will be 75 on July 9, 2011.
	HAVE FOUND MUTUAL INTEREST The International Conference “Nanostructured catalysts and catalytic processes for innovational power and steady development, has been held in Novosibirsk from June 6 through June 10.
	INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR ON COALBED METHANE The International Seminar “Effective methods for the extraction and treatment of coalbed methane” has been held in Kemerovo on June 13-15.
	OPERATION OF SMALL ATOMIC POWER STATIONS IN YAKUTIYA AND THEIR SAFETY The Seminar with participation of leading experts of the State corporation on atomic energy “Rosatom”, representatives of the Government and scientific organizations of Republic Sakha (Yakutiya), titled “Operation of small atomic power stations in Yakutiya and their safety”, has been held at the Larionov Institute of the Physical-Technical Problems of the North of SB RAS from June 15 through June 19, 2011.
	ALL-RUSSIAN SCIENTIFIC SCHOOL “PROBLEMS OF HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL IDENTITY IN POLYETHNIC COMMUNITIES” To be held in Omsk from September 6 through September 8, 2011.
	PARADOXES OF TRANSBOUNDARY ECONOMY During recent years, the Institute of Natural Resources, Ecology and Cryology of SB RAS carries out researches of processes of economic development in the regions adjoining to rapidly developing China.
