	INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION At the Institute of Chemical Kinetics and Combustion of SB RAS there appeared more persons who have been marked with prestigious awards of recognition - leading researcher Alexander Dmitrievich Milov has been awarded with the silver medal of the International Society of EPR Spectroscopy in Chemistry for 2012.
	AHEAD OF HIS TIME January 22 marked the 90th birth anniversary of an outstanding researcher, designer, Winner of the Lenin Prize Academician Bogdan Vyacheslavovich Voitsekhovsky. His interests covered the broad scope of problems in physics of explosion, hydro-pulse engineering, atmospheric electricity, wind power sources.
	MEMORY OF THE “KNIGHT OF BAIKAL LAKE” HAS BEEN HONORED The 90th birth anniversary of an outstanding scientist, great expert in the field of ecology, limnology and geobotany, Academician Grigory Ivanovich Galaziy has been marked in Irkutsk.
	NSU: TO RAISE PRESTIGE AND EXTEND OPPORTUNITIES On February 28, a regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Novosibirsk State University has been held. The purpose of the gathering was to discuss critical issues of the present moment - the construction of the main building, the second NSU hostel, as well as participation in the University megagrants.
	INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN EKATERINBURG The International Scientific Conference “Russia and Central Asia on the threshold of XXI Century” will take place in Ekaterinburg on April 23-25.
	COOPERATIVE OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS: VERIFICATION OF THE FILED MEMBERS Institutes of NSC of the SB RAS, are additionally gathering the applications and questionnaires of potential participants in a pilot project of building a settlement of low-rise housing.

	IRKUTSK SCIENTISTS FILL GAPS IN SECONDARY EDUCATION The II Inter-Regional Scientific Conference of pupils “Man and Space” has been held in Irkutsk.
