	TO EXPAND THE METHODS OF DIAGNOSTICS Last summer, the Symposium “Genetic and neurophysiological mechanisms of psychoneuroendocrine disorders: diagnostics and searching for opportunities for their correction” has been hosted by the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of SB RAS in frames of the program of the Russian-Taiwanese seminars.
	“ASIAN ENERGY COOPERATION: RISKS AND BARRIERS” This topic has been discussed at the International Conference being held at the Melentiev Energy System Institute of SB RAS on August 21-23.
	SESSION IN HONOR OF L.L. MAKSIMOVA Modal Logic is an actively developing area, located at the intersection of mathematics, philosophy and computer science. The Conference “Advances in modal logic 2012” - the main international forum having the purpose to present the research results in various aspects of science.
	TO AUSTRALIAN ABORIGINES IN SEARCH FOR ANCIENT TSUNAMI Head of the Tsunami Laboratory of SB RAS ICMMG Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences V.K. Gusiakov has returned from the business trip to Australia, where he participated in the 34th International Geological Congress, as well as in two expeditionary trips to rarely visited areas of this far away country.
	MINING INDUSTRY ISSUES THE CHALLENGES. MINING SCIENCE IS DESTINED TO SOLVE THEM The Scientific-Practical Conference “Geodynamics and modern technologies for treatment of bump hazardous deposits” has been held in Norilsk from August 6 through August 11.
	SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS AT BAIKAL In accordance with the plan of research events, the Baikal Institute of Nature Management of SB RAS has hosted last summer two All-Russian Conferences and Symposium.

	SUMMER SCHOOL ENTERS ITS SIXTH DECADE The 51st Summer School of Physics and Mathematics for high school senior pupils - the winners and participants of the regional competitions, has been held in Novosibirsk Academgorodok in August.
	COMPETITION FOR SENIOR PUPILS The VII All-Russian competition of scientific and innovative projects for high school senior pupils, conducted by the “Siemens” company, has started on September 1, 2012.
	“APARTMENT HOUSE” IN THE LOZHOK VILLAGE The pilot project “Apartment house”, implemented by the Government of the Novosibirsk region at the Lozhok village, has been presented at the conference hall of the Presidium of SB RAS on September 4.
