	WHAT ABOUT PHILOLOGY? The All-Russian Scientific Conference with International participation “Plot and motive dynamics of a literary text” has been held at the Institute of Philology of SB RAS on May 14-16.
	FUTURE - FOR LOW-RISE ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES The Scientific and Practical Conference “Energy and resource efficiency of low-rise residential buildings” has been held at the Kutateladze Institute of Thermophysics of SB RAS.
	SOLAR LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL Scientists of the Siberian Branch will participate in the production of heterostructures for multi-cascade solar cells. This decision has become one of the outcomes of the meeting “Modern state, planning and organization of activities aimed at the development of highly efficient solar cells for spacecrafts”.
	PARTNER FOR DEMONSTRATION, NOT FOR SHOW The International Industrial Exhibition “HANNOVER MESSE-2013”, held under the slogan “Integrated Industry”, has become the largest one in the recent 10 years.
	PHOTONICS-2013 The 8th International Specialized Exhibition for Optical, Laser and Optoelectronic Technologies “Photonics. World of Lasers and Optics’2013” has been held in the Moscow “Expocentre” at the end of March.
	WATERWAYS OF BAIKAL HAS NOT DISAPPEARED In the summer of 2012 a group of researchers from the Far East Expeditionary center of Primorsky regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society made ??a loud statement: over the last 135 years Baikal lost forty of its waterways. But Irkutsk scientists, many years studying the Baikal, completely disagree with such conclusions. According to them, the very question of the number of waterways of the Siberian Lake is much more complex and deeper than it may seem to non-specialists in water resources and hydrology.

	AROUND THE WORLD - ON INFLATABLE CATAMARAN A team of Siberians for the first time in the history of seafaring has conducted the transition through the oceans around the globe on an inflatable sailing catamaran. One of the participants of the seafaring shared his impressions.
	THANK YOU FOR THE HOLIDAY! The evening party “Again I believe in the dawn!” has taken place on the traditional for the club "Sakura" Wednesday in the Small Hall of SB RAS House of Sciences. The Club has hosted a poet, Mayor of the Science Town of Koltsovo N.G. Krasnikov with fellow musicians.
