	A TIME TO GATHER STONES TOGETHER The arrangements for new working conditions have been launched at the Siberian Branch of RAS.
	ON THE LEGAL STATUS OF THE RUSSIAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCES The purpose of any regulatory document is to direct the potential energy of people to the course of activity, desirable for the legislator or official. It actually means, that the lawmakers creating new laws and governing bodies issuing subordinate documents are concerned about how to solve some of the significant current problems.
	STANDING AT THE WHEEL OF YAKUT SCIENCE October 23 marks the 55th birth anniversary of M.P. Lebedev, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chairman of the Presidium of the Yakutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Director of the V.P. Larionov Institute of Physical and Technical Problems of the North of SB RAS.
	COMPUTATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES ON THE EAST KAZAKHSTAN LAND The International Conference “Computational and Informational Technologies in Science, Engineering and Education-2013” has been held in Ust-Kamenogorsk from September 18 through September 22. The capital of East Kazakhstan received the participants of this scientific forum for the second time.
	CLIMATE CHANGES HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED IN YAKUTIYA The 2nd International Conference “Global Warming and the Human-Nature Dimension in Siberia: Social Adaptation to the Changes of the Terrestrial Ecosystems, with an Emphasis on Water Environments” and the 7th Annual International Workshop “C/H2O/Energy balance and climate over boreal and arctic regions with special emphasis on Eastern Eurasia” have been held at the Institute for Biological Problems of Cryolithozone of SB RAS from October 8 through October 11.
	FACES OF SOCIALISM The International Seminar “The Many Faces of Socialism: Theory and Practice in the XX century” has taken place in Academgorodok.
	ARCHAEOLOGY OF NORTHERN RUSSIA: FROM IRON AGE TO THE RUSSIAN EMPIRE The All-Russian Archaeological Conference “Archaeology of the Northern Russia: from the Iron Age to the Russian Empire” has been held in Surgut on October 1-4.
	AND THERE ARE STILL PLACES UNTOUCHED BY BOTANIST... The All-Russian Conference “Flora of North Asia: issues of research and conservation of biodiversity” has been held at the Central Siberian Botanical Garden from October 1 through October 3.
	ONE SHOULD THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE OF ENERGY RIGHT NOW The first All-Russian Youth Forum “New non-conventional and renewable sources of energy” has been held in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok in early October.
	“WE HAVE GOOD CHANCES FOR SUCCESS...” A press tour for the Novosibirsk media representatives has taken place at the Institute of Chemical Biology and Fundamental Medicine of SB RAS on October 11.
	COLD-RESISTANT FRIENDSHIP The development of the Institute of Oil and Gas Problems of SB RAS in the field of cold-resistant rubber, having been exhibited in China in December 2011, has attracted attention of the members of Academy of Sciences of Shandong Province, and already in May 2012 a delegation from China visited Yakutsk.
	IT-DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMPARK WILL MAKE DEMOCRACY ONLINE The resident of Academpark IT-cluster Company AT Consulting Siberia will perform works on the creation of an Internet portal “e-democracy” in the Novosibirsk region.
