	THE RAS REFORM: ATTEMPTS TO NEGOTIATE Press review.
	WE BELIEVE IN FUTURE INNOVATION The International Conference of startup companies and investors “Startup Village-2014” - one of the most ambitious start-up conferences in Russia – has been held at the Innovation Center Skolkovo. The Conference was attended by Chairman of the SB RAS Academician A.L. Aseev delivering at the round table a speech titled “From the first person: why I believe in innovation”.
	THE III CONGRESS HAVE BEEN HELD BY SIBERIAN ENGINEERS The III Congress of Engineers of Siberia has taken place in Omsk from May 28 through May 30. The main theme of the outstanding event was “Integration of engineering potential of Siberia to the solution of public problems of socio-economic development”.
	AIRBUS IS INTERESTED IN DEVELOPMENTS OF SIBERIAN SCIENTISTS On June 3, the Airbus Group delegation has visited the Novosibirsk Academgorodok and got acquainted with the scientific developments of SB RAS. The visit took place as part of the TECHNOPROM 2014 Forum.
	THE BEST CHOICE L.N. Mazalov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Senior Researcher of the Nikolaev Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of SB RAS has been awarded the honorary title of “Honored Worker of Science of the Russian Federation”.
	GRANTS OF THE RF PRESIDENT – TO IRKUTSK SCIENTIFIC SCHOOLS At the Presidium of ISC of SB RAS, Inspector General of the Irkutsk Region P.A. Ogorodnikov has handed the grants of the RF President to Irkutsk scientists.
	YAKUTIA – REGION OF NEW DEVELOPMENT In 2015 it will be 90 years since launching the Yakutsk complex expedition of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1925-1930).
	BAIKAL: THE COASTAL ECOLOGY This article is a continuation of a series of materials on results of the study of the Lake Baikal coastal ecology, conducted at the Limnological Institute of SB RAS.
	NEW WELDING WORLDS Common interest in Welding has resulted in long term and fruitful relationships between the Institute of Strength Physics and Materials Science of SB RAS and one of the recognized leaders of the former Soviet Union – the Paton Electric Welding Institute of NAS of Ukraine.
	CENTER OF POLISH SCIENCE AND CULTURE AT SPSTL OF SB RAS: FIRST STEPS The Center of Polish Science and Culture at SPSTL of SB RAS has already arranged three events since its opening in November 2013.
