	AWARDS OF MOTHERLAND In accordance with the Decrees of President of the Russian Federation, a team of employees from the Siberian Branch has been given the awards and decorations of the Russian Federation.
	NOVOSIBIRSK REGION STATE AWARDS On the eve of the Russia Day, the State Prize of Novosibirsk region has been awarded to 29 residents of the region. Winners of the prestigious award for the contribution to the development of the region have become the representatives of five teams.

	INTERACTION OF SCIENCE AND GOVERNMENT – VIEW OF EXPERT COMMUNITY The interaction of science, government and society, and their collaboration on a new stage of development has become the main issue of a regular expert meeting held in SPSL of SB RAS in early June. Scientists, economists and representatives of the municipality have discussed the problems of education, crisis, associated with the RAS reform, fiscal policy issues and today’s managerial decisions and their implementation.
	ETHICS OF RESEARCH AND PSEUDOSCIENCE The Pseudoscience Commission at the Russian Academy of Sciences is a purely Russian phenomenon. Pseudoscience is by definition a quasi-science, existing due to the research funds.
	TWO IN ONE A foreign delegation of scientists and experts from the major European research institution - the National Centre for Nuclear Research of Poland has visited the Institute of High Current Electronics of SB RAS.

	SEEING IS BELIEVING A group of caring people has returned from a trip to Altai. Their aim was to see what happened as a result of the unprecedented floods, talk with locals and provide them with humanitarian aid.
	DESPITE WEATHER Despite all machinations of the weather gods - an unusually cold and rainy summer - the Day of Tomsk Academgorodok has been held for the seventh time. And for sure, the festival was a success!
	PRE-ANNIVERSARY EXTREME The 39th traditional track and field run in memory of Valery Rytsarev has been held in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok on June 8.
