 EXAFS-spectroscopy station of the Siberian Synchrotron Radiation Centre

Station offers machine time on its facilities on terms of bilateral agreement. BIC guarantees absolute non-disclosure of information obtained according to this agreement and moreover the experimental data do not have to be obligatory «public» in future.
Research and measurements can be conducted by lease holder, by specialists of BIC without your presence in Novosibirsk (EXAFS in mail) or with assistance specialists of BIC. Various consultations on EXAFS-spectrometry are also available.
The analysis of the results in Novosibirsk is also possible.

TECHNICAL PARAMETERS
Average productivity of measurements: 2 spectra per hour
Storage ring:
- electron energy:   2 Gev
- working current:  70-100 mA
- beam life:  4 hours
Station:
- energy range:   4-33 keV (starting from Ti)
- energy resolution:   6000
- angle step:  0.14 sec.
- adsorption coefficient measurement accuracy:   better than 0.1%
- investigated element concentration:   beginning from 0.1 mass %

EXAFS-spectrometer includes:
- cut-off Si (111) or Si (220) monochromator
- total reflection mirror in monochromatic beam
- ionisation chambers with Ar and Xe as detectors in transmission mode
- electroluminiscent gas detector in fluorescent mode

Today we offer to conduct experiments at a rate of 600 USD per hour. If the research is executed by BIC’s operators an additional fee of 75 USD per hour is required.
