	COMFORTABLE TECHNOLOGIES FOR A SIBERIAN MAN From June 18 to June 19 the Second Joint Scientific Session of the Siberian Branches of the RAS and RAMS has been held at the Novosibirsk Academgorodok. Topical developments in the field of medicine and public health services were presented there on the one hand by the reports and scientific messages, on the other hand by the displays of an exhibition that accompanied the session. Most of these developments is addressed to practical medicine and represents the technologies worthy of the 21st century.

	FROM POST-GRADUATE STUDENT TO THE DIRECTOR So far as it`s difficult to believe in it, but Fedor Andreevich Kuznetsov, Academician, Director of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, is already seventy. More than forty years he is, as they say, in full view in Academgorodok and it seems that he has almost not changed in outward appearance after a number of years. But there is the most interesting life filled by events behind his shoulders.

(Physics and Mathematics), Corresponding Member of the RAS, Director of the Institute of High-current Electronics in Tomsk is nominated acting chairman of the Tomsk Scientific Center.
	RUSSIAN CENTER OF ORIENTAL STUDIES The Institute of Mongology, Buddhology and Tibetology of the SB RAS is characterized by manifold studies on the history, culture, philosophy and social problems of the peoples populating the significant region of Central Asia.

	"ECOLOGICAL" ACCELERATOR: MARATHON RACE GOES ON... The fourth year the "SiS" from time to time "is on duty" at the accelerator stand of the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the SB RAS where the industrial electron accelerator of new generation ELV-12 developed at the laboratory of Professor Rustam Salimov is being created.
	THE "SIBERIA" IN TYUMEN The exit session of the program "Siberia" (from May 28 to May 30) was held in Tyumen. Within the framework of this event the exhibition-seminar "The SB RAS developments for oil-and-gas complex" was organized.
