	TRAGEDY AND HOPE OF THE ANGARSK PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX Formerly the industrial complex was a leader of petrochemical industry of our country, but a burden of problems amassed for years transformed it into unprofitable enterprise.
	AN ISLET OF UNEXPLORED WILDERNESS The workers of the CSBG branch "Kuzbass Botanical Garden" of the Kemerovo Scientific Center of the SB RAS have quite recently come back from their regular expedition.
	IT`S TIME TO KEEP HISTORY... Altai is a cradle of many ancient peoples of Central Asia. The Siberian scientists` studies on a lot of unique archeological complexes of Altai have gained the world popularity. However it is necessary only to regret, that all these unique evidences of olden time are falling to ruin and that except for occurrence of the newspaper publications directed against the Novosibirsk archeologists, there is actually nothing done for preservation of historical monuments in Republic Altai.
	SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING IN YAKUTIA The next, second issue of new popular scientific journal "Science and engineering in Yakutia" has been published.
	STUDENT`S ECOLOGICAL CONFERENCE November 2 the 7th International Student`s Ecological Conference "Ecology of Russia and contiguous territories. Ecological catalysis" will be held at the NSU.
	MOTORCARS... FROM THE FLOOR OF BAIKAL LAKE From November 16 to November 25 on Baikal the expedition of the Russian Ministry of Extraordinary Situations will work at Baikal in order to study the condition of the lakebed.

	AN EXEMPLARY MAN Almost two months passed since chief technologist of the Novosibirsk Institute of Organic Chemistry, one of its first employees, Victor Samoilovich Kobrin has died. People at the Institute are grieving about him, constantly recollecting this bright, clever, noble man. We publish some reminiscences of the colleagues working near him all these years.
	TWO SIDES OF CREATIVITY It`s already three years, since photographer Vladimir Afanasievich Yugov passed away. October 30 he would be 75 years old.
