	"PRESIDENTIAL GRANT OF 2000 ROUBLES IS THE IDEA DISCREDIT" The session of the Council on Science and High Technologies attached to Russian President has been held on February, 9. This is an assembly of the elite circle of the most competent Russian scientists who once a year discuss urgent problems of the development of science together with the President.
	THREE OFFERS OF ACADEMICIAN KULIPANOV Speech at the session of the Council on Science and High Technologies.
	CELEBRATION OF ACADEMIC SCIENCE This year there are two anniversaries on the Day of Science, February, 8: the 280th anniversary from the date of the founding of the Russian Academy of Sciences as well as the 60th one of the founding of the West-Siberian Branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences which has initiate the Academic Science in Siberia. The holiday of Science was broadly celebrated in all the scientific centers of, in all the Academic institutes of the Siberian Branch of the RAS.
	IMPORTANT STAGE OF COOPERATION Before the Day of Science, on February, 5, signing of the program of scientific and technical cooperation of the PC “Novosibirsk Plant of Chemical Concentrates” with the institutes of the SB RAS for 2004 - 2006 has taken place at the House of Scientists of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok.
	YOUTH CONFERENCE ON THE HOLIDAYS Good tradition to held annual conference of young scientists has been evolved at the Institute for Water and Environmental Problems since 2000. This year for the first time it is dated for the Day of Russian Science and the 280th anniversary of the RAS.
	THE HOLIDAY OF SCIENCE IN CHITA
	315 DEVELOPMENTS ON ELECTRONIC MEDIA On February, 9 within the framework of the Days of Science, presentation of the CD "315 complete developments of the Siberian Branch of the RAS suggested for wide application" has been held at the Exhibition Center of the SB RAS.
	MOLECULAR MAGNETISM AND CATALYSIS The Russian Federation State Prize in the field of science and engineering for 2002 is awarded to a large creative collective, in structure of which there is the only representative of the Siberian Branch, leading scientific researcher of the Institute of Inorganic Chemistry of the SB RAS, Doctor Sc. (Chemistry) Vladimir Ikorski.
	NEW MATERIAL FOR MICROSECOND As our newspaper informed, the Novosibirsk Regional Administration has awarded monetary grants for 2004 to a number of young scientists and specialists of the Scientific and Educational Complex. Thus the Administration has supported four projects carried out in the SB RAS.
	CONGRATULATION ON THE ANNIVERSARIES To Academician L.Ivanova and Academician V.Shumny.
	ALL THE LIFE IS SERVICE TO THE SCIENCE February, 10 the Head of the Laboratory of Behavioral Phenogenetics of the ICG of the SB RAS, Doctor Sc. (Medicine), Professor Nina Popova celebrates her anniversary.
