	COMPUTER CENTER: 40 YEARS LATER One of the leading institutes of the Siberian Branch, the Computational Center, has been founded in 1964 by Academician G.Marchuk. 	OPENING OF THE AMERICAN INTERNET-CENTER AT THE ACADEMIC LIBRARY From September, 9 to September, 11 Novosibirsk will be visited by the US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Russia Mr. Alexander Vershbow. The basic purpose of his visit is opening of the Center "Training and access to the Internet" at the Branch of the State Public Scientific and Technical Library of the SB RAS in the Academgorodok.
	PRESENTATION OF THE SIBERIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT IN CHINA On September, 2 the presentation of the Siberian Federal District has taken place in Urumchi, administrative centre of Sindzian-Uigur autonomous region of Chinese People's Republic within the framework of the international trade fair.
