	THE SB RAS SCIENTIFIC EVENTS IN FEBRUARY
	WHAT DOES IT HAPPEN IN THE NUCLEUS OF A CELL? Geneticists of the world occupied themselves with searches of the answers to this global problem during the whole 20th century. The contribution to this search has been introduced by three investigators of the Institute of Cytology and Genetics of the SB RAS: Corresponding Member I.Zhimulev, Doctors Sc. E.Beliaeva and V.Semeshin. On the eve of New Year they have become the winners of such prestigious award in the field of life sciences as the N.K.Koltsov Prize.
	FOR THE SOLUTION OF THE PROBLEMS OF ECOLOGY A group of specialists of the Institute of Petroleum Chemistry of the SB RAS in cooperation with the Siberian Chemical Industrial Complex (SCIC) and the PC "TomskNeft" ("TomskOil") has succeeded in solution of a number of ecological problems. Science has offered ideas simple for realization. One of these consists in utilizing of fluorine production wastes sof the Siberian Chemical Industrial Complex for petroleum production.
