	WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE SHANGHAI ORGANIZATION FOR COOPERATION According to the invitation of the President of the Academy of Sciences of China Lu Yunxiang the delegation of the SB RAS led by Vice-president of the RAS, the Chairman of the SB RAS Academician A.L.Aseev has officially visited the Chinese People’s Republic during the period from June, 23 to June, 27, 2008.
	THE DECLARATION ON THE CONSOLIDATION OF SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNICAL COOPERATION of the state research organizations within the framework of the Shanghai Organization for Cooperation.
	ON THE PROBLEMS OF DESERTIFICATION AND NOT ONLY THEM The delegation of the SB RAS led by the member of the Presidiums of the RAS and the SB RAS, the Chairman of the United Academic Council of the Earth sciences Academician N.L.Dobretsov according to the invitation of the Academy of Sciences of China and the Ministry for Science and Technologies of the Chinese People's Republic has officially visited the Chinese People’s Republic (Peking, Lanchjow) from June, 26 to July, 2, 2008.

	MEGAGAUSS MAGNETIC FIELDS «Megagauss-XII», the 12th International conference on the generation of megagauss magnetic fields and related experiments – was held from July, 13 to July, 18 at the House of Scientists of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok.
	AT THE EDGE OF THE FAR EAST LAND… At the edge of our great country, at the coast of the Pacific Ocean (as locals consider, right at the beginning of Russia), in Vladivostok City, from July, 14 to July, 18, 2008 a large-scale International symposium was held devoted to the problems of physics and technology of nanostructures, «16th International Symposium NANOSTRUCTURES: PHYSICS AND TECHNOLOGY».

At the Novosibirsk Scientific Center of the SB RAS, from July, 20 to July, 28 an International summer school of young scientists of CIS countries «Integration and innovations in the reproduction of the staff for the development of scientific and technical as well as humanities cooperation of CIS countries» took place.
	EXTENDING THE SCIENTIFIC SPACE On July, 21 at the Small hall of the House of Scientists within the framework of the International summer school of young scientists of CIS countries, a round table discussion «Breakthrough lines and innovations in 21st century within the context of the strategy of CIS development till 2020» was held.
	TO FILL WITH THE SENSE THE CONCEPT OF INTEGRATION July, 21 within the framework of the International summer school, a round table discussion «Young scientists and the leaders of youth public organizations in integration processes» was held where the discussion of the most urgent problems of youth associations has taken place.
	ROUND TABLE OF HUMANISTS Within the framework of the International summer school of young scientists a round table discussion «Ethnocultural dialogue in Eurasia: the problems of integration and national identity» has taken place.
	«ETHNOSOCIAL PROCESSES IN INNER EURASIA» The International scientific and practical conference titled so has been held in the Semey City (former Semipalatinsk) of the Republic Kazakhstan.
	«NEWEST DEVELOPMENTS OF LEICA MICROSYSTEMS FOR BIOMEDICAL RESEARCHES» October, 6 to 10, 2008 the representation of Leica Microsystems in Russian Federation holds in the Novosibirsk Academgorodok a seminar «Newest developments of Leica Microsystems for biomedical research» dated to the opening the Branch of Representation in Novosibirsk.

	THE CLEAR WATER COMPANY: OPEN BUSINESS FOR A GOOD LONG WHILE In the middle of July for the representatives of Novosibirsk mass media a press- round took place organized by the PC «ClearWater Company» where about thirty journalists have visited the operating and under-construction factories of the Company and have met with its leaders.
	AT THE TELETSKOE LAKE July, 15 at the House of Scientists of the SB RAS, the exhibition of the works by Aleksandr Bushuev, the Member of the Union of Artists of Russia «At the Teletskoe Lake» has been opened. It is the second personal exhibition of the artist’s works at the Novosibirsk Academgorodok for last five years.
