	INSTITUTE FOR MONGOLIAN, BUDDHIST AND TIBETAN STUDIES OF SB RAS IS 90 Congratulations from the SB RAS Presidium
	JUBILEE OF ORIENTAL CENTER OF SIBERIA This year marks the 90th anniversary since founding of the Institute for Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan Studies of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. Within a relatively short historical period the Institute has rapidly developed, as well as the Republic of Buryatia, as well as all the Buryat people.
	A NEW RECTOR OF THE NOVOSIBIRSK STATE UNIVERSITY HAS BEEN ELECTED Over the next five years the University will be headed by Professor Michael Petrovich Fedoruk.
	BIOINFORMATICS – A KEY POINT An International Conference on Bioinformatics of Genome Regulation and Structure/Systems Biology (BGRS/SB-2012) has been opened in the Great Hall of the House of Scientists of SB RAS on June 25.
	ON THE WAY TO UNDERSTANDING WAVE PROCESSES The VI International Conference “Solitons, Collapses and Turbulence: Achievements, Development and Prospects” has been held in Novosibirsk from June 4 through June 8.
	YAMAL GATHERED PERMAFROST EXPERTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD The X International Conference on permafrost “Resources and risks of permafrost regions in a changing world” has been held in Salekhard.
	“VERIFICATION” IS CARRIED OUT BY “SR-2012” The XIX National Conference on Synchrotron Radiation “SR-2012” (with the participation of foreign scientists) and the National Youth Conference “The use of synchrotron radiation” are being held this week at the Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics of SB RAS.
	MODEST CHARM OF THE ACTIVE LIFE Nikolai Borisovich Pridachin - Ph.D. in physics and mathematics, Senior Research Fellow, Associate Professor, has been working for the Rzhanov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of SB RAS for already 47 years. On June 30 he will mark his 70th birth anniversary.
