The 3rd Russian-German School
on Parallel Programming
using High Performance Computation Systems

August 28 - September 8, 2006

Institute of Computational Technologies

Akademgorodok, Novosibirsk, Russia

Contents:

Welcome:

The aim of the School is to invite interested young researchers to discuss modern parallel computing techniques, gain experience in using up-to-date hardware and exchange experience in solving practical problems on high performance computation systems of different architectures.

The program of the school consists of two courses. The first course is an introductory course into the technologies of parallel computing and their using in numerical modelling problems. The advanced course is designed for a detailed study of the methods and techniques of high performance computing covering advanced topics in parallel programming.

The courses will be run by the leading scientists from the High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart. The leading scientists from the institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences will give the invited lectures.

There will be a Student Session where participants can presentat their work in the field of parallel programming. Abstracts of the accepted presentations will be published in the Student Session Proceedings.

The working language of the School is English. Experience of programming in Fortran or C is a prerequisite.

In order to participate in the School it is necessary to send an application and a covering letter to the address of the school and submit an on-line registration form.
