The paper presented follows a series of articles concerning the creation, development and support of the "Geotomography" section of the "Methods of solution of conditional-posed problems" server. The demo version of a direct kinematic problem solution located at the server is implemented on Java language. It is being solved using the system of differential equations of the ray in the case of two spatial variables derived in 1967 in [Belonosova, Alekseev. On one formulation of inverse kinematic problem of seismics for a 2D inhomogeneous medium // Selected methods and algorithms of interpretation of geophysical data, Moscow 1967] as a corollary from the eikonal equation. The solution is made by decreasing the order of differential equations (from the second to the first) by introducing additional variables, which increases the number of equations in the system. One more equation for the time calculation is augmented to the system and Runge-Kutta method is applied. The computation is carried out according to the technique described in detail in [2001] where it is being solved in general formulation which then while solving the inverse kinematic problem in the tomographic formulation can be adapted to the circular acquisition scheme used. Numerical modeling of the IKP solution requires the ability to solve the direct kinematic problem which presents a separate scientific problem as well. The paper is supported by RFBR (project ¹¹ 03-01-00910, 03-07-90060)
