THE PROBLEMS OF ORIGIN OF SIBERIAN MONGOLOIDS AND THE INFLUENCE OF FAR CONSEQUENCES OF OUTBREEDING ON THE PREDISPOSITION TO DISEASES IN THESE MONGOLOID POPULATIONS

State Medical Research Institute for Northern Problems of SB RAMS (Krasnoyarsk)

We studied the distribution of HLA genes in different populations of Siberia: in the representatives of Central Asia Mongoloids (the Yakuts), in Tungus-speaking nations (the Evens, the Evenks), in palaeoasian nations (the Yukagirs), in north-east palaeoasian nations (the Koryaks), in representatives of the Ural nations (the Selkups).

We revealed the genes, which “mark” north mongoloid populations. We found clear difference between gene structure in northern and southern Mongoloids according to the HLA genes distribution data.

For the first time it was proved that ancient Europoids took part in the Yakut ethnogenesis, i.e. ancient Aryan tribes (in spite of the fact that sometimes anthropologists regard the Yakuts as standard Mongoloid population). New hypothesis on the Yakuts origination, which connects substrate basis of the Yakut ethnos not with the mongoloid turk tribes, as it was considered before, but with the Aryan tribes, which belong to ancient Indo-European, who were mixing with Siberia Mongoloids. It was found that even now there is powerful Europoid admixture in Yakuts, marked by HLA-À1 gene and HLA-À1,Â17 haplotype. It was shown, that this Europoid admixture greatly influences the characteristics of the functioning of physiological systems and predisposition to diseases, which are met in the Yakut Mongoloid population. They have the peculiarities in common with Europoids, but not with other Mongoloids.

So, we found far results of outbreeding, which took place many centuries ago, when two large racial branches – the Europoids and the Mongoloids mixed.
