Aim. To determine the frequency of markers of B, C, D hepatitis in rural regions of Eastern Siberia.

Methods. We examined 2150 healthy people by epidemiological method, out of them 1319 in Taymir (688 Europoids, 214 Nenetz and 417 Dolgans) and 831 alien inhabitants of middle latitudes. Markers of B, C, D hepatitis were determined by immune enzyme method and by the method of polimerase chain reaction in all the patients.

Results. In Taymir we found HBsAg in 3,6% Europoids, in 3,3% Nenetz and in 6,5% Dolgans, in middle latitudes in 6,7% Europoids. Anti-HCV were revealed in Taymir in 1,6% Europoids, in 0,9% Nenetz and in 0,2% Dolgans, in middle latitudes in 10,4% Europoids. Hepatitis D markers were not determined at all. Replication markers of hepatitis B and C viruses were revealed more often in the inhabitants of middle latitudes as compared to inhabitants of Taymir.

Conclusion. The indices of prevalence of virus hepatitis in rural population are different between Eastern Siberia regions. They depend on ethnic and ecological factors. As a whole epidemiological situation is not favourable for people, this is connected to great extent with unsatisfactory medical and hygienic services provided on population.
