Aim. To study the frequency of dyspepsia and the indices of Helicobacter Pylori (ÍÐ) dissemination in children of the parents with ulcer disease.
Methods. We examined 106 families (159 children) with healthy parents and 52 families (60 children) with ulcer disease parent in rural area in middle latitudes of eastern Siberia. Average age of children was 11.2 years. Fibergastroscopy was performed for adults (316 subjects) and 116 children. HP IgG and IgG Cag A were determined by serologic methods in blood serum in all the subjects. ÍÐ was studied in mucous of antral part of stomach by urease and morphological techniques including the calculation of dissemination density in 107 children and in 124 adults.
Results. The frequency of dyspepsia in children of ulcer parents was 64.3% (1 group), in children of healthy parents 35.2% (2 group), ð<0.01. In the 1 group IgG of HP in blood serum was found in 75.3% of the tested subjects, HP IgG Cag A in 42.1% children. In the 2 group these indices were correspondingly 54.1% (ð<0.05) and 25.6% (ð<0.05). HP dissemination density in the 1 group was 52% (ð<0.01), which is higher, than in the 2 group.
Conclusion. Dyspepsia and Helicobacter Pylori were marked more often in children of ulcer families as compared to the children of healthy families.
