Investigation purpose: to study the structure of mortality among men at the age of 20-54 in Yakutsk for the 20-year period.

Materials and methods: Studying of a mortality was carried out from casual representative sample of the unorganized man's population of Yakutsk. One-stage research was performed in 1984-1986, within the network of the branch scientific and technical program in the field of medicine and USSR Ministry of Health ¹1085 from 9/20/1984 concerning cooperative research «Epidemiology of ischemic disease of heart and atherosclerosis in various regions of the country in 1984-1988» Studying of mortality was carried out on casual representative sample of the unorganized population, by total number of 2666 persons. For the 14-years period 37324 person-years of observations (PYO) were lead.

Results: Investigation results show, that within 14 years there were 354 morses. In OS frame of mortality of heart diseases was 47,4 %, including that of ischemic heart disease - 20,3 %, mortality of SPM-9 % and 18,1 % - a mortality from other heart diseases. The second and third places are occupied by mortality of ÎZ (19,3 %) and that of ÍÑÒÎ (18,9 %). Among all deaths of heart diseases, mortality of ischemic heart disease and SPM has accordingly made 42,8 and 19,1 %. The mortality of HD, including that of ischemic heart disease and SPM was positively enlarged with the age from 20-29 till 40-49 (P <0,05), in age group 50-54 it decreased a little.

Results of investigation of mortality on 1000 PYO reflect intensity of development of «final points» which appeared on years during prospective observations over a cohort of men. The parameter of OS and a mortality from HD at men has made accordingly 8,5 and 4,2 on 1000 PYO. The mortality of ischemic heart disease, SPM, ÎZ and ÍÑÒÎ has accordingly made 1,7; 0,7; 1,6 and 1,5 on 1000 PYO. Parameters of mortality positively associated with the age of men from 20-29 to 50-54 years.

Thus, on the basis of studying laws of formation of interterritorial differences of an epidemiological situation concerning an ischemic heart disease it is possible to plan preventive actions at Federal and regional levels.
