It is well-known that hypokinesia leads to detraining, increases and decreases cardiac work efficiency, makes adaptive reactions worse. This is highly important when a person adapts to extreme conditions of the North.

A single-step epidemiological research of 795 children at the age of 11-12 years from Tymen and Novity Urengoy was carried out. Arterial blood pressure was measured in pupils with the help of standard method; physical activity was studied in 200 girls with the help of quantitative method of 7-day pace counting, cardiointervalography in 137 girls.

The results of the research showed higher indices of diastolic blood pressure among the children in Novity Urengoy than in Tyumen (p<0.05). Girls in Novity Urengoy had more strongly marked physical activity deficiency of 9.7 thousand locomotions per day , girls in Tyumen had 10.9 thousand locomotions per day (p<0.05) while A.G. Sukharev`s recommended norm of physical activity for children aged 11-14 is 20-25 thousand locomotions per day.

The results of the final vegetative tonus research indicated strain of vegetative regulation mechanisms in children with lower level of physical activity. Final sympathicotonia is registered in girls with physical activity less than 6.5 thousand steps per day.

During the correlation analysis there was a feedback between quantity of locomotions and systolic and diastolic blood pressure (p<0.001), as well as between strain rate and physical activity (p<0.05).

Trus, we revealed deficiency of physical activity in children aged 11-12 in Tyumen and Noviy Urengoy, more significant in children living in circumpolar regions. There was found negative correlation between physical activity and the level of arterial blood pressure, quantity of locomotions and strain rate, characterizing final vegetative tonus.
