Tomsk region is important economical and administrative region in our country. According to official returns populations of our region is 1057.0 thousands people and 604.0 thousands people is urban population. Tomsk region consists of 16 rural areas. Now about 116 nationalities live in Tomsk region. Regional center is a middle Russian town and there is 484.6 thousands people.

We analyzed 44374 marriage records over the period from 1999 to 2004, and then we calculated the some rates of population structure in our region.

The middle age was 26.84±2.13 for men and 24.32±1.55 for women in rural populations who were married during this period. Disparity in years between spouses was on average 2.5 years. In urban populations the middle age was higher and amounted 28.32±0.47 for men and 25.84±0.38 for women.

The part of postreproductive marriages was 10.3% in rural and 8.9% in urban populations. The part of young men and women (20 year and early) among spouses were 11.4% and 28.3% in rural populations and 7% and 16.8% in urban populations respectively.

The national structure of married couples included 75 nationalities: 67 for men and 59 for women. About 91% Russians, 1.6 – 2% Ukrainians and 0.5 – 2.3% Tatars were determined among contracting marriages persons. The part of spouses the same nationality was 0.844 in rural populations and 0.840 in urban populations.

There were about 77% in rural and 70% in urban populations of the natives of Tomsk region in all marriage couples. The natives of Siberian region averaged 7.7% and 10% respectively. The migration rate for rural populations was 0.409 and did not differ significantly between sexes (χ2 = 0.42; Ð=0.5164). In urban populations the migration rate was 0.575 and it was significantly higher for men than for women (χ2=29.93; ð=0.0000).

In that way, women get married on 2.5 year earlier than men and twice more often in young age. The dominate nationality in Tomsk region are Russians and the part of marriages among them is about 84%. For rural populations is typical lower migration activity than for urban populations of our region.
