Epidemiological examination of Buryats (village Utata, Republic of Buryatiya) and Russians, (village Luchanovo, Tomsk District), pupils of rural secondary schools has revealed different prevalence of clinical forms of borderline neuro-mental disorders (BNMD): 30,1 per 100 Buryats and 45,1 per 100 Russians (ð<0,05); prenosological forms of BNMD have constituted 13,1 per 100 Buryats and 18,3 per 100 Russians. Clinical structure of borderline neuro-mental disorders has not an ethnic specification and is represented by the following disorders: psychological developmental disturbance F8 - 34,6% in Buryats and 49% in Russians (ð<0,001); behavior and emotional disorders (F9) 29,5% and 20,3% respectively; disorders associated with organic brain impairment, and mild mental retardation of exogenous genesis (F06-07, F70) – 21,8% and 18,8% (ð<0,05); neurotic and somatoform disorders (F41-45, F48) – 14,1% and 11,6%. Stages of formation of BNMD are different in prenosological forms: in Buryats the most prevalent appeared to be dysthymic variant (47,1%); in Russian pupils - asthenic variant (50%). Prognostic programs taking into account presence of risk factors of formation of borderline mental disorders in pupils have been developed with the use of a multi-dimensional statistic.
