AIM. To study the interconnection between Helicobacter pylori (HP) and dyspepsia in the population of Eastern Siberia regions.
METHODS. We carried out two large cross-section epidemiological researches in rural vicinity in middle latitudes and Khakassia Republic to study interconnection between HP and dyspepsia. Within this study we made dyspepsia screening for 5 617 subjects (3 532 Europoids, 2 085 Khakass), endoscopy in 1 641 (1 111 Europoids, 630 Khakass) in 25% picked up by random and the determination of Ig G HP and Ig G Cag A by serological method in 1 663 subjects (1 177 Europoids and 533 Khakass) in 25% picked up by random.
RESULTS. Both works show the presence of interconnection between ÍÐ and dyspepsia in the examined populations, which had their peculiarities in the Europoids and Mongoloids. For instance in Khakassia we marked Ig G HP in 91.6% dyspepsia Europoids and in 84.1% subjects without dyspepsia (p<0.01). In Khakassia these indices were 85.5% and 85.3%. At the same time Ig G Cag A was registered in 61.8% dyspepsia Europoids and in 60.3% subjects without dyspepsia. In Khakass these indices were- 42.5% and 32.6% correspondingly (p<0.05).
CONCLUSION. There is evident interconnection between HP and dyspepsia in Russia Europoids.
