In this paper are presented the review of the experimental systems of active geophysical monitoring with powerful vibrational sources and the results of the field works, which were carried out in the last three decades at institutes of Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences. Experimental systems for the active monitoring of the medium include powerful vibrational sources with computer control systems, mobile specialized complexes for the precision recording of vibrational seismic signals, and computer data processing systems. A review of various constructions of resonant vibrational seismic sources with a vibrational force of 100 tons in the frequency range from 5 to 15 Hz and the principles of creation of precision computer control systems and low-frequency three-component recording systems is presented. Features of systems of the active monitoring with the use of wideband sweep signals and narrow-band harmonic signals radiated by seismic vibrators are considered. To determine the sensitivity of the active monitoring system, some experiments to detect the influence of the Earth’s crust tidal deformations (of the order of 10-7) on seismic wave velocities have been performed and some experiments to determine season variations of the vibroseismic wave fields were done.Experimental works on full-scale modelling of system of monitoring in area the area 300*300 êì2 (experiments the Circle and the Circle-2), and also the begun works on vibroseismic to monitoring Baikal seismic-prone zones on the basis of a technique of definition of variations stationary vibroseismic fields with harmonious probing signals are described.
