We started a long-distance seismic measurement using ACROSS (Accurately Controlled and Routinely Operated Signal System) since the end of 2004 in Tokai region central Japan. We attempt to detect reflected phases from subducting Philippine Sea plate and also to detect temporal changes in physical properties of the plate boundary. ACROSS source has been generating sinusoidal seismic signals. The signals distribute in a frequency band from10 to 20 Hz. We deployed a dense array with the length of 2 km at a site of 55 km distant from the source. As a preliminary result, we detected P, S and other later phases in a transfer function stacked for a month. We will apply an array analysis to the records stacked for longer period. More detailed discussions about the detected phases and their temporal changes will be made by introducing several velocity structures.
