Research of dynamics of contemporary climatic characteristics and their correlation with vegetation using climatic GIS and Web-systems

This study was dedicated to analysis of relations between series of climatic parameters and characteristics of vegetation cover on West Siberian plane. The GIS project was made on the basis of ArcMap and MapInfo software packages. The following information was included into the project database: location of meteorological stations on Russian territory, satellite data available for every station, as well as characteristics of vegetation in West Siberia. Spatial distribution of vegetation period duration, soil moisture, as well as their correlation with vegetation characteristics, have been considered. Web-system for analysis of climatic characteristics on Siberian territory based on reanalysis has been used.
