Experience of basic library processes automation on the basis of ILS Virtua (VTLS, USA) in Siberian State Industrial University Library is described. Main advantages of the system are presented: universality, flexibility, integrateness, efficiency, comfort. The major modules - Cataloguing, Circulation control, OPAC, Reports - are characterized The preliminary with bookstock and a DB of readers is described. Special attention is given to a question of technological changes in library processes, to transition from paper technologies to electronic. Own developments of the Library staff, adapting the system to our realities, are submitted.
