Diversity of the Fauna

The Automated System Of Organization Of Monitoring Of Natural Reproduction Of Lake Baikal Omul

Omul is the one of fishery species of Baikal now. The time-space structure and degree of genetic different quality of spawning part of the population of each morphological group of omul brings about conditions of omul's reproduction (Voronov, 1998; 1999). Monitoring on reproduction of Lake Baikal omul includes the following investigation stages: formation of pre-spawning crowds; places and terms of spawning migration; the registration of the sires, coming on a spawning and their biological parameters; dynamics of sires'es moving forward to places of a spawning and maturing; definition of fund of the spawned calf and its distribution on segments of spawning-grounds; the registration of rolled down larvas and their distribution on places of spawning.

Each research stage requires considerable material, financial and manual expenses. As a result of monitoring researches a rather large volume of information collects, which one now is dispersed on different scientific organizations, with a different degree of processing, i.e. is in the «indigestible» form.

With the purpose of unification of monitoring on reproduction Lake Baikal omul in Limnological institute of SB RAS the automated informational analytical system is worked up. The system includes in the following main blocs:
- Database on all research stages, including full list of parameters in accordance with the requirements of modern techniques of field researches;
- Means of processing, using the modern methodical apparatus of obtaining of the quantitative and quality characteristics with data output in tabulated and a graphic forms;
- topographical basis of a water area of Lake Baikal and of main spawning rivers, permitting to submit data as electronic maps, reflecting dynamics of approach, spawning migration, the spawning of omul and rolling down of larvas, and also integrated and differentiated parameters in a graphic form in points of observations;
- means of access to results of the analysis on each research stage.

The local version of a system is created now; in the future the creation of the network version of a system of organization of monitoring with the installation of client places in rallying points of the information is planned. The system is created by means of packets Delphi 5.0, MapObjects LT 1.0 of corporation ESRI, the packet FastReport 2.41 was applied to design and design of the output reports.

The system will be used for the control of fishery in the Baikal locale.
