The mathematical modeling of hybrid combustion waves

Mathematical models of homogeneous combustion in gas blown through catalytic fixed bed reactors with simultaneous chemical reaction proceeding inside a grain of a porous catalyst are considered. Algorithms for the solution of a system of difference equations on an adaptive space-time grid in various subdomains have been constructed.
Numerical investigation results of simulation of a hybrid combustion wave are obtained for various relative rates of gas-phase and catalyst reactions.
