Dynamics of hydrate formation during natural gas production

Mathematical model of hydrate formation and dissociation during natural gas production has been developed. It takes into account real gas behavior, water movement and mass transfer between gas, water (mobil phases) and hydrate (non-mobil phase). It has been shown in the computer experiment that at conventional gas flow rates hydrate accumulates at a small zone near wells. The process comes to an end when all free water turns into hydrate. Its duration is about a year since production starts It cases an essential reduction in well productivity.
