Parallel computing on personal computer - based clusters

The research work is devoted to the facets of multiprocessor computational system (logical cluster) created on the basis of the ordinary personal computers, arranged as a local net with the shared HDD to exchange the data. The research is aimed at describing the parallel computing process, its analysis and evaluating the efficiency criteria for such cluster. A square real n×n matrices multiplication problem has been considered as the pilot one. For the homogeneous and isotropic local net the analytical model has been created, and the formulae of the efficiency criteria have been obtained. The two different optimal parallel algorithms have been constructed and studied.
