The catalytic oxidation of the gas mixture with non-uniform porosity distribution in a fixed bed of catalyst is considered. Two-dimensional mathematical models of heat and mass transfer with constant and variable: flow velocity, thermal properties of reacting gas mixture, catalytic activity are presented.

For planning numerical experiments on initial models are constructed them zero- dimensional analogues and the detailed parametrical analysis of dynamics of processes is executed. The nonlinear appearances, predicted by the zero-dimensional analysis at instantaneous and periodic external perturbations of stationary regimes numerically are implemented. The results of numerical and analytical solutions are compounded with experiments, known from literature.
