The dynamics of local density perturbation in shear flow of linearly stratified medium

The numerical modelling of local density disturbance in shear flow of linearly stratified fluid has been carried out. To describe the flow two mathematical models were used: Euler equations in Oberbeck-Boussinesq approximation and linear model. The numerical results demonstrate a dependence of flow parameters on Richardson number. Presence of shear flow leads to essential distortion of motion pattern.
