A numerical method based on splitting with respect to physical processes (N.N. Yanenko, 1964; G.I. Marchuk, 1988) is proposed for investigation of convective flows of viscous uncompressible fluids in regions with fixed rigid boundaries. Splitting by two steps (convection, diffusion) makes it possible to combine the calculations with use of physical variables as well as "eddy-current" ones("vorticite vector- vector-potential" variables in the three-dimensional case). The method proposed is now under testing and investigating its stability and convergence. This work was supported by the Council for supporting leading scientific schools (Grant No 00-15-96162).
