Developing software of automated management system for higher educational institution

Higher education is one of the most complex systems to manage. It comprises management of educational, scientific, practical, and administrative processes. Purpose of this work is to report the idea of authors for creating a unified computer and software system of management of higher education. In this process, each staff member in the administration of higher educational institution will have his automated working place. As a result of realizing this idea paperless technology will be created.

It should be noted that now various automated systems like “1 C Áóõãàëòåðèÿ”, “Êàäðû”, etc. do exist. Unfortunately, these systems modulate specific part of Higher Education’s activity. They cannot function as a whole. Therefore uniting in a whole all activities of Higher Education will be only the right way. This gives us possibility of realizing a paperless exchange of information inside the Higher Education, thus automating process of collecting, saving, and processing information in Higher education; every change occurring in any department immediately reflects in other part of Higher Educational network; attention of officials will not be paid to make reports but, to exclude errors when making reports; ensure strict confidentiality of information; conduct meetings, conferences, seminars using computer systems; widely using possibility of global network of INTERNET, WWW, and etc. The developed software and computer system makes every official of Higher Education work precisely, and perform all his functional responsibilities on time. Current idea is arranged like project and being realized using “Client - WEB server application-Server database” technology with the support of allocated databases.

All data is stored in the database of Higher Education, and application in the WEB-server. Server physically may contain some computers connected to the net of Higher Education.

The data needed by all clients is stored in the main server of Higher Education. Data needed only by concrete department, may be stored in the server of that department. Every official of Higher Education will have his automated working place and he will be given the possibility of performing the tasks, which includes his functional responsibility. He will not be able to have an access to foreign data.

Now, this project is being introduced in Bukhara State University and Bukhara Technological Institute of Food and Light Industry.
